About Me

I was born in the small rural town of Willington, Connecticut in the year 2000. My family lived in the middle of the woods next to a nature reserve and I began to be fascinated by nature at a very early age. When I wasn't playing by myself, making crafts, and coming up with elaborate stories for my stuffed animals, I was exploring the woods around the house, climbing trees, and catching frogs and snakes with my two sisters.

Unfortunately we had to move in 2009, and we relocated to Charlottesville, Virginia to be closer to my grandparents. We had moved into the suburbs, but my sisters and I made fast friends with the kids in the neighborhood and we still found ways to play outside and have a great time.

I had always loved to draw and do all kinds of crafts as a kid, so when I was in middle school my parents enrolled me in oil painting lessons at the local art center. I fell in love with the medium immediately. It was so versatile and forgiving, unlike any medium I had worked with before. The vibrance of the colors mesmerized me. I took lessons with the same teacher for many years and I've been painting in oils ever since.

In 2019 I graduated high school with an honors diploma and began my college career at Liberty University. This period of time was extremely formative both in my artistic skill and in personal growth. In my freshman year I was baptized and gave my life to Jesus Christ. In 2023 I graduated with a Bachelors of Fine Arts degree and right now I'm beyond excited to further my career as a professional artist. It's so encouraging to look back at my life and see how God has used each little thing, both successes and failures to lead me to where I am today and I couldn't be happier.
